W. Harwood Runner is a Principal of Cumberland Capital. For over 20 years, he has been responsible for originating transactions, negotiating deal terms, assembling deal teams, coordinating and conducting due diligence, arranging and structuring financings, and participating in ongoing governance as an officer, director and senior advisor. He has been a principal in the execution of a variety of transactions in a diverse set of industries including financial services, real estate, outsourcing, retail, environmental services, e-Business/Internet, manufacturing and distribution.

As a senior executive, Mr. Runner has held CEO and CFO responsibilities, transformed business models, streamlined operating processes, established long-term service agreements, recruited management teams and has served on a number of boards. He is currently a director of Fore Star Golf, LockStream Corporation, Sovereign Surgical and a number of private investment companies.

Mr. Runner is formerly a Certified Public Accountant and is a 1979 graduate of West Virginia University, where he earned a bachelors degree in business administration.
